Aputure’s Light Storm LS C300d Mark II LED Lighting Kit with V-Mount Battery Plate is based on the popular LS C300d and is an upgraded version with 20% more power, refined features and expanded connectivity. Aputure uses chip-on-board (COB) technology to produce a color temperature of 5500K while consuming only 350W of power while emitting 3500 lux of light with an efficient reflector at a distance of 9.8ft. In addition to energy efficiency, this device also has a CRI/TLCI rating of 96, which indicates the accuracy of color reproduction. The ballast/controller of the lamp uses linear, logarithmic, exponential and S-curve dimming from 0 to 100% and is separate from the body of the lamp, making it lighter and smaller. A mounting base for use with an optional clamp is included and allows attachment to a light stand to spread the weight.
The performance of the Aputure LS C300d II is supported by its design. The all-aluminum construction goes through numerous manufacturing steps, and the reflector and accessory mount are the widely used Bowens S-Type. A wireless remote control is included that lets you control on/off and dimming functions from distances of up to 100 meters. Speaking of control, Aputure also offers the Bluetooth Sidus Link App Control, which can be used to wirelessly adjust all of the light’s functions, as well as effects like flash, pulse, strobe, and explosion. Ideal for noise-sensitive environments, the Aputure LS C300d II is visible but not audible thanks to a high-efficiency fan that can be turned off when absolute silence is required. The LS C300d II is ready for worldwide use thanks to its 110-240 VAC power supply, but also features two battery plates so you can use V-mount batteries for external power.
