The DJI RS 2 Pro Combo includes several additional accessories with the RS 2 gimbal to enable a more complete workflow. A key addition is the DJI Ronin RavenEye image transmission system, which enables 330-foot 1080p video transmission from the gimbal for on-set collaboration.
The RS 2 gimbal is a redesigned successor to the Ronin-S gimbal with a payload of up to 5kg. It’s about 25% lighter and more compact thanks to monocoque carbon fiber axle arms and a shorter handle with a smaller battery cartridge, but still with 12 hours of run time. The motors are about 20% more powerful and support a range of cameras. The latest camera and lens compatibility list can be found on the DJI website.
The DJI RS 2 Pro also features a 1.4-inch full-color LCD touchscreen for accessing gimbal settings, as well as features like time-lapse and hyperlapse.
Also, the gimbal uses the DJI Titan stabilization algorithm to offer improved stabilization with increased smoothness. For applications with up to 100mm zoom lenses, the built-in SuperSmooth function complements the algorithm by compensating for micro-movements and increasing torque to achieve smooth motion. The accompanying Ronin app for Android and iOS also offers other ways to create recordings according to your own ideas
The gimbal runs for up to 12 hours on a battery cartridge that attaches to the included handle. The cartridge can easily be exchanged for another one, which is sold separately. The cartridge is rechargeable via a USB Type-C port on the grip, and the grip can be completely removed from the gimbal when you need to charge the battery. The BG30 grip is compatible with PD and QC 2.0 charging protocols. DJI strongly recommends using a 24W charger, which is not included. The battery supports 24W fast charging and can be fully charged in about 1.5 hours. .
